What an AMAZING last 3 years we’ve had!!! First $4,500.00 to Bryant Elementary School, Second $5,000.00 to Great lakes Elementary School and this year.. $7,000.00 To Four Corners Elementary School!!!!! We ROCKED it! Now on to Northern Lights for our 4th year!
Here is a little information about who we are and how this all got started:
This fundraiser started when the Bryant Elementary school PTO was hopeful to purchase an Activboard for the 2009-2010 school year. Unfortunately, through all the budget cuts there was no money left to allocate towards technology. So, what seemed like the perfect opportunity to take a chance on chance, was! Since then, Team Polar Bear 6 has succeeded and surpassed each goal we created. Not only did we exceed all of our hopes but we did it with all of your help! And each year we have been able to raise a little more for the kids in our district!
We believe the advancement in technology is huge and can be beneficial to our children now and in the future. So for us, it is the perfect fundraiser! The interest and interaction students have with the ActivBoards we are fundraising for is simply amazing! We are enhancing their education with the sights and sounds of learning! As most of you know, there are immeasurable things to learn and experience in the classroom during the elementary school years. Our hope is to provide a rich environment in which our children and our future can benefit most.
Our hope for The Polar Bear 5k is longevity. We hope to keep it an annual event with the support from our community for years to come. Our promise is to provide moneys for new and improved technology each year for a different school, and we hope to do so with your continued support.
